Over 70 years of bright ideas.

1947 – Lyons Electrical Supply Company was started by Charles F. Lyons, an electrical contractor for 20 years prior and, operated out of a store front located at 800 North Main Street for 16 years. In 1963 the operation moved to a 12,000 square foot facility located at 915 Webster Street, Dayton and Charlie’s son Al joined the team as a junior partner.

The 1960’s and 1970’s marked an era of branch offices in New Bremen and a second location on Far Hills of 3000 square feet. It was also during the late 1970’s the company expanded into residential lighting and added two additional showrooms, and employing 50 people.

2008 brought a consolidation of branch showroom locations back into one main location still at 915 Webster street.

2019 – The company is still family owned and operated by it’s third generation, Thomas, Kenneth and Jane. Al retired in 2018 and at 92 stills has an opinion of how the company should be run. Presently, Lyons Electrical Supply Co. consists of two integral operations, residential and commercial lighting fixtures and showroom and electrical wholesale supplies all located at 915 -917 Webster Street, Dayton Ohio 45404
